A Buffalo native and Western New York Prosperity Fellow, Ameen has spent the past four years at UB pursuing an education in computer science and applied mathematics. Ameen has been a researcher at the NYS Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics and Life Sciences, and an Imperial Scholar at Empire Genomics. On campus, he has been involved with various organizations including Scientista, NSBE and the Prosperity Fellows Pitch. When not on campus he can be found enjoying outdoor sports, following community and international developments, and spending time with friends. Ameen looks forward to another year of involvement with the Western New York Prosperity Fellowship and contributing to the local economy’s continued growth.
