Asia Alexander
Asia Alexander is a rising third year law student at the University at Buffalo School of Law. Asia received her Bachelor of Art’s degree in English with a minor in Comparative Women’s studies from Spelman College with latin honors distinction, Magna Cum Laude, in 2021.
As a Buffalonian, she is passionate about supporting the economic growth and development of Buffalo communities. Asia is particularly interested in using her practical lawyering skills to execute business plans aimed at addressing the food dessert epidemic through the drafting of contracts for land acquisition of abandoned property with the goal of using said property to cultivate more community gardens as a pipeline to eventually supplying and sustaining minority owned grocery store brick and mortars within the community.
Asia is involved in the UB Law School community, elected as the incoming Outreach Chair for the UB Environmental Law Society, Vice President of the UB Law DEI Council, and President of the UB Black Law Student Association (BLSA).
Asia looks forward to continuing to develop her legal and business management and planning skills to contribute social justice through economic development in the Buffalo and broader Western New York community.
