Cassidy Malough
Cassidy, born and raised in Buffalo, is currently enrolled in the MBA/MSW dual degree program at the University at Buffalo. She will graduate in May 2021 with a master’s in both degrees and a heightened drive to improve her home.
Before graduate school, Cassidy received her bachelor of science degree in psychology from UB. During her time as an undergraduate, Cassidy was a Provost Scholar and lived to help the community where she served as a hospital volunteer at Crisis Services.
This past summer, Cassidy was honored to serve as a Social Impact Fellow where she worked with the Service Collaborative of WNY, Inc. to create a sustainability plan for their Beds for Buffalo project. This experience helped Cassidy develop a passion for social innovation that has extended to her current project: developing and launching the Social Innovation Collaboratory wing at UB.
In addition to her academic work, Cassidy continues to serve the community as a volunteer with Queen City Revival Young Professional Volunteer Group. Through this experience, she has assisted many local organizations including Habitat for Humanity, Compass House, and Explore Buffalo.
After graduation, Cassidy wants to utilize both her social work and business acumen to start her own social impact consulting firm. Her aim is to maximize local organizations’ impact on the community through social innovation techniques. Cassidy loves Buffalo and looks to strengthen the city throughout the entirety of her career.
