Christian, a Buffalo native, is a sports management major with a minor in business administration. Christian graduated in May 2024 from Vermont State University at Castleton. Christian was a committed member of the two-time National Championship Alpine Ski Team at VTSU-C. Christian also represented the Men’s Alpine team within the Student Athletic Advisory Board Committee where the Board discussed ideas of how to better athletic and academic life throughout campus. Christian was also involved in the VTSU-C intramural basketball where he traveled to different schools throughout Vermont to compete and represent Castleton. In coming to Castleton, Christian was awarded with the Castleton Achievement Scholarship.
Outside of campus, Christian has volunteered twice at the New York Special Olympics. He worked with athletes with disabilities in soccer matches, helping them play while also refereeing. He also worked at the Vermont Senior Games. Christian managed all the data such as race times and registration, to determine the results of the race. Christian completed an internship with Castleton’s athletic department during his senior year. He was a game manager for all three seasons of games during fall, winter, and spring. Christian was tasked with set-up and cleanup of the fields and courts for games, manage up to five student workers per game, and create Excel spreadsheets representing athletic teams and for the organization of seasonal awards. During this experience, Christian developed knowledge, and skills on how to manage events and work professionally with staff and administration. Christian also expanded his network with the administrators here and developed professional communication skills.
Following his graduation, Christian hopes to start off in a local college or high school working in business operations. During this period, he hopes to refine his skills and knowledge to take his career to the professional level of sports to eventually make an impact. Through what he has learned about the sport industry, he will apply his skills and knowledge to better that organization in any way he can.
