Daniel Bowen
Daniel Bowen is a graduate student at Canisius University in Buffalo, NY, looking to achieve his MBA. As a native of Hamburg, NY, he previously attended Canisius High School, where he was a key member of the Crusaders’ swimming team. During his high school career, Daniel notably contributed to the team’s victory in the 200-freestyle relay at the 2018 New York State Public High School Athletic Association Championships on Long Island. In addition to setting numerous records for Canisius High School and the Monsignor Martin league, Daniel’s academic and athletic pursuits led him to The Bolles School in Jacksonville, FL. There, he continued to excel, maintaining a 3.5 GPA, and competing on the school’s nationally recognized swimming and diving team.
After a successful high school and early college athletic career, Daniel’s journey as a Division-I swimmer at Canisius was cut short due to injury. However, his passion for swimming did not wane. Daniel transitioned into coaching, taking roles with the Resource Council’s learn to swim program and Canisius High School’s swimming team. In these positions, he leverages his extensive experience to design and implement training programs for swimmers of all ages and skill levels. His focus is on creating a secure aquatic environment, emphasizing the well-being and safety of participants to prevent injuries.
Professionally, Daniel has cultivated a diverse skillset through various roles in the Western New York area. Prior to his current role at West Herr Automotive Group as a Customer Care Manager for Toyota Orchard Park, he worked for a fintech SaaS startup named “Streamline.” His responsibilities have spanned operations, internal auditing, and honing analytical skills. Through these experiences, Daniel has demonstrated a keen ability to manage customer relations and operational challenges effectively. Looking ahead, Daniel is committed to completing his MBA at Canisius. As a participant in the Western New York Prosperity Fellowship since 2022, he is poised to make significant contributions to the entrepreneurial landscape in the greater Buffalo region. His academic background, coupled with his professional and athletic experiences, positions him as a versatile and dynamic individual ready to impact his community positively.
