Daniel Bowen
Daniel Bowen is a graduate student at Canisius University in Buffalo, NY, currently pursuing his MBA. A native of Hamburg, NY, he previously attended Canisius High School, where he was a key member of the Crusaders’ swimming team. During his high school career, Daniel notably contributed to the team’s victory in the 200-freestyle relay at the 2018 New York State Public High School Athletic Association Championships on Long Island. In addition to setting numerous records for Canisius High School and the Monsignor Martin league, Daniel’s academic and athletic pursuits led him to The Bolles School in Jacksonville, FL. There, he continued to excel, maintaining a 3.5 GPA, and competing on the school’s nationally recognized swimming and diving team.
After a successful high school and early college athletic career, Daniel’s journey as a Division-I swimmer at Canisius was cut short due to injury. However, his passion for swimming did not wane. Daniel transitioned into coaching, taking roles with the Resource Council’s Learn to Swim program and Canisius High School’s swimming team. Drawing from his extensive experience, Daniel developed and implemented tailored training programs for swimmers of all ages and skill levels. Dedicated to swimmer safety, he strives to create an environment that promotes confidence, skill development, and injury prevention.
Professionally, Daniel has cultivated a diverse skill set through various roles in the Western New York area. Prior to his current role as a Sales and Leasing Consultant at West Herr Toyota of Orchard Park, he completed multiple internships at West Herr. His responsibilities span operations, internal auditing, customer service, and analytical skills. Through these experiences, Daniel has demonstrated a keen ability to manage customer relations and operational challenges effectively.
