DaVon France was born and raised in Buffalo. In 2022, he graduated from the University at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing. He is pursuing an MBA at UB and expects to graduate in 2027.
While at UB, DaVon was heavily involved in entrepreneurship. He worked at Blackstone during his undergrad and is known as a ‘Blackstone Allstar’. He assisted in marketing efforts, managed their CRM system, event planning, and brought new and creative ideas to Blackstone. During his freshman year, he was selected to go on an all expenses paid trip to UCLA. This leadership training program featured students from Blackstone LaunchPad’s across the country. His entrepreneurial spirit continued to expand. He participated in innovation sprints, workshops, and pitch competitions. His entrepreneurial creation was a conglomerate of a brownie and a cookie called a ‘Brookie’.
Health is extremely important to DaVon. When he isn’t working or studying, he can be found swimming laps at Alumni Arena. He was the president of the UB Swim club in his sophomore year and is incredibly passionate about swimming. Fun fact: DaVon’s last high school swim meet took place at Alumni Arena, and he liked the pool so much that he decided to go to UB.
He is passionate about using his experience to help others. His time at UB showed him the amazing talent this Buffalo community offers. He plans to use his skills to elevate the Buffalo community that has done so much for him. The best way to create prosperity in Buffalo is to elevate our most disadvantaged communities. He is excited to join forces with the fellows and get further involved in giving back to the Buffalo community. DaVon’s career goal is to earn the title of ‘creative director’ within a company.
