Destiny Rust
Destiny Rust is a current graduate student at the University at Buffalo, attending the full-time traditional master’s of social work program. As of spring 2023, she will be wrapping up her foundational year in the program and entering her advanced year in the fall of 2023. Destiny earned a bachelor of arts in health and human services, with a concentration in community mental health, minors in counseling and psychology, and a micro-credential in child advocacy studies. Destiny is currently interning at the Child and Family Services Employee Assistance Program.
Destiny is interested in mental health, advocacy, and social justice. She has held positions in UB’s first-generation peer mentoring and college access programs. Destiny hopes to open her own private practice for counseling, serving the minority and marginalized communities of Buffalo.
