Grace, from Williamsville, NY, is a Childhood and Special Education major with a concentration in English and extensions in Early and Middle Childhood. She will be graduating from Canisius’s undergraduate program on May 20, 2023 and plans to complete her master’s degree in Literacy the following May in 2024. Grace has been very involved within the campus community with several clubs. She is president of the Teacher Education Club, secretary of Kappa Delta Pi, and treasurer of Chamber Orchestra. Grace was also awarded as a Music Scholar for French horn at Canisius for four years. Over breaks, Grace works at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Buffalo’s Early Childhood Center as a teacher aide, where she is able to help children ages 1 ½- 5 years old learn, grow, and play. Grace plans to become an elementary school teacher in a general education classroom so she can continue to teach and inspire children socio-emotionally, academically, and about the world around them.
