Ikram was born in Yemen and immigrated to the United States, settling in Rochester NY. She majors in health and wellness at Canisius College and plans to graduate in 2021.

Ikram is involved in campus activities including club activities with the Afro- American and Peace of the Action clubs. She works on campus through the federal Work-Study program to cover her living expenses at Canisius and is on track to become the first person in her family to earn a college degree.  Ikram is also a member of the Society of Pre-health Professionals.

Ikram has a passion for helping people and plans to pursue graduate studies to become a physician assistant. Currently, she is searching for summer internship opportunities related to health and wellness and is seeking community volunteer opportunities.
