Jahare Hudson
Jahare Hudson is a PhD student in counseling psychology, focusing his research on the experiences of Black LGBTQ+ individuals. Hudson is a member of multiple honor societies that include Omicron Delta Kappa, Alpha Sigma Nu, DiGamma, and Psi Chi. He also has a professional affiliation with the American Psychological Association and the Society of Counseling Psychology. He served as a two-term president of Canisius University’s undergraduate student body in previous years, bringing much-needed representation to graduate students in his final year. Hudson is now focusing his time on research and policy development, hoping to one day pursue an elected position in the state and federal government. In the coming years, he is looking to receive an APA congressional fellowship where he will work on the staff of a member of Congress to draft legislation and prepare briefs and speeches. Hudson is dedicated to his hometown of Buffalo, NY, and looks to advocate for his community at all levels of the government. His guiding principle is leading with love, and this principle shows itself in all of his roles, passions, and plans.
