Jason Jiang

Jason Jiang is currently a computer science major (‘24), who at his best disrupts the status quo through relentless conviction and trust in others. On campus, he is a Leadership House mentor, residence hall advisor, and a student entrepreneur. He is well connected in Buffalo, frequenting innovation and entrepreneurship communities, Prosperity Fellow events, UB’s Startup and Innovation Collaboratory, and nonprofits connecting through aligned values. Jason has eight years of coding experience and success in several hackathons and entrepreneurship competitions.

His three passions – listening to others, entrepreneurship, and computer science – give him the ability to envision a grand dream and build support for how a solution can fit those who will walk it.
Jason plans to develop his skillset in building software solutions to become a technical founder for startups. Jason is grateful for the Walter E. Schmid Family Foundation Scholarship, which supports his entrepreneurial pursuits.

After Jason came to Buffalo in fall 2021, he took on three internships and explored developing three ventures. He has experience taking on responsibility in large projects. Jason is constantly learning how he can provide the biggest impact today in Buffalo for a better tomorrow.

Jason is currently finding the people, the talent, and the stories that want to see the world change; for his latest venture (a belonging-finding app), Jason is finding what he needs wherever it may be.
