Marna Metcalf
Marna Metcalf is pursuing a dual master’s degree in social work and business administration with a concentration in health care administration. She has a BA from Nazareth College and an MA in counseling from Marymount University. After working as a grief counselor at Hospice of Central New York, she found her passion for work in the healthcare field. Her career goal is to collaborate with health care professionals to improve quality and access to healthcare, particularly for older adults. She has engaged in projects such as the Town Square for Aging, a collaboration of service providers creating a new model of care for frail elderly. Marna believes these types of healthcare innovations are a vital part keeping healthcare costs low and encouraging economic growth in Western New York. She is a member of the Phi Alpha National Social Work Honor Society and the American College of Healthcare Executives. Additionally, she volunteers with the UB School of Social Work’s DREAM Program and Ten Thousand Villages of Williamsville.
