Nathan Waley
Nathan is Buffalo native with majors in entrepreneurship and finance. He is on track to graduate in May of 2021.
Nathan is active on campus and serves on the Executive Board of the Canisius Entrepreneurship Organization and has presented on behalf of the college at a global entrepreneurship conference. Nathan also took a lead role in developing the Canisius Innovation Lab, which is a grassroots project to start a business incubator that will provide advice, guidance, resources, and support to students wishing to execute their entrepreneurial mission while on campus.
Nathan has participated in mission trips to Dominican Republic, Missouri, and New Jersey to rebuild houses and schools, while also teaching sustainability after natural disasters. He also volunteers for the Lancaster Depew Soccer Club as a coach and team trainer.
Nathan works at two real estate development firms where he helps to analyze, model and plan development projects. Nathan’s goal is to own a real estate development company, nutritional restaurants, and pursue his passions of traveling and philosophy. He hopes that his real estate company will bring a new form of the industry to Buffalo that is more ecologically friendly and healthier for people living or working in the buildings. He would also like to start a non-profit organization that helps impoverished neighborhoods fix costly issues with housing such as asbestos, mold, and inoperative mechanicals. He also plans to start businesses that will foster a healthier community in Buffalo using urban gardens, healthy restaurants, and nutritional education programs.
