Nicholas Tirrell
Nicholas Tirrell of Turner, Maine, was a double major in Business Administration and Sociology at Hartwick College, graduating in December 2024. Nicholas will begin an MBA with a concentration in financial services at Canisius University starting in January 2025 with an anticipated graduation in spring of 2026, while competing as a member of the swim team.
He has been very involved on and off campus during his undergraduate career. Nicholas served as the treasurer of the Hartwick Investment and Financial Management Club. He has also worked as a Recruiting and Administrative Assistant for Hartwick Swim and Dive, supporting team logistics and recruitment efforts.
Off campus, he has also worked as a Camp Counselor and Video Technician at Bobcat Swim Camp and as a Commission Sales Associate at Lamey Wellehan where he was consistently ranked among the top performers in the company. Nicholas also worked as a Store Leadership Intern at Kohl’s, managing store operations and team development. In these positions, he was able to develop his customer service and communication skills.
Nicholas also dedicates himself to serving the community through volunteer work for local initiatives focused on the development and education of the youth such as volunteering his time to Big Brothers and Big Sisters of America fundraising efforts. As well as volunteering at many local 5k road races.
He hopes to apply his business and leadership skills in the future to pursue a career in sales, management, or consulting, with the aim of fostering growth and leaving lasting impacts within his organization and community.
Nicholas’s long-term goals are either to open a sports marketing agency in the Western New York area and create more partnerships with the local businesses and sports entities of Buffalo or to work at increasing the presence of Fiduciary Financial Advisory Services in Western New York.
