Rachel Stern
Born and raised in Buffalo, Rachel Stern is currently pursuing a JD/MBA. She received her B.A. in International Studies from UB in 2012, which included a semester studying abroad in Ghana, West Africa. Prior to entering graduate school, Rachel served an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer with the College Success Center at Bennett High School. She works for Blackstone LaunchPad and the Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership, where she helps students, faculty, staff, and alumni turn their research and ideas into startup businesses. Rachel’s interests include social entrepreneurship, business consulting, and economic development in the Buffalo Niagara region. Her ultimate career goal is to run a non-profit organization that advises community leaders and citizens on strategies to improve education, reduce poverty, create jobs, and promote sustainability within Western New York. Rachel enjoys exploring Buffalo, trying out new restaurants, and rooting for Buffalo sports teams.
