Shannon Finucane
Shannon is a native of Kenmore, NY who is simultaneously enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs in professional accounting at Canisius College. As a dual major in accounting and accounting information systems, she is entering her fourth year and will receive an MBAA in 2017. She is currently an Accounting Intern with NOCO Energy Corporation, and recently completed an internship/mentorship at the accounting firm of Brock, Schechter & Polakoff in the Larkin Building. During this time, she was inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honor Society, and has remained on the Dean’s Honor List since her freshman year. At Canisius, she is a recipient of The Leo A. ’56 & Patricia A. Bradley Scholarship, Trustee’s Academic, and Alumni Scholarships, and a member of the Accounting Society. Throughout college, Shannon has been a coach for Buffalo Turners Gymnastics, where she was a competitive team gymnast in the USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic program and involved in the sport for over 15 years. She was also involved in soccer, playing with Kenmore Soccer Travel Club and Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart. In her fifth year, Shannon will take the CPA exam and pursue an accounting position within Western New York.
