Tyler Owen
Tyler, from Springville, New York, graduated from Canisius College in May with a dual degree in accounting and finance. Throughout his time at Canisius, Tyler has been active both on and off campus. On campus, he was involved with the Canisius College Accounting Society and served as a Council of Accountancy freshman mentor. For the Economics and Finance Club, he has held the positions of Vice President and Parliamentarian on the club executive board. His volunteer experience consists of assisting Habitat for Humanity and Relay for Life. During his four years at Canisius, Tyler worked for the Koessler Athletic Center Event Staff and the Canisius College Tutoring Center, where he assisted students in undergraduate business courses. Off campus Tyler has worked for Fairview Cemetery Corporation and now serves as a trustee on the Board. More recently, Tyler interned for the New York State Department of Taxation andĀ Finance in the Transaction Field Audit Bureau. This summer, Tyler is interning for Dopkins & Company, LLP in their general services. Tyler recently received the NYSSCPA Excellence in Accounting Scholarship and in the fall will be returning to Canisius to complete his MBA in Accounting and begin studying for the CPA.
